Clean special hotel, exceptionally attentive stuff and unbeatable location in the Grasmere area. Location next to ambleside along the south of rydal water where there is a stunning cave as well as the lakes in a long time. For tea or coffee visit Baldry's Tea Room nearby😀

The hotel was amazin, surrounded by beautiful grounds and super close to everything we wanted to explore. We saw deer while havin breakfast, such a cool touch! The staff were really nice, always checkin in on us and makin sure we were comfy. Our room was decorated with nice lil touches like luxury toiletries and we loved the homemade cake of the day! Totally the best hotel we've ever been to and we definitely wanna come back!
But the shower had a bath which was weird and kinda hard to get in and out of. The drink prices at the bar were pretty high.

We had a lovely stay, enjoying breakfast in the garden and watching deer stroll by, which really enhanced our experience. There are fantastic spots to unwind, like the beautiful garden area and the cozy lounge by the fire. The bathroom could use a bit of a refresh, but it didn't take away from the nice vibe overall. 😊

The location is ideal, with easy access to local attractions, and the beautiful surroundings add charm to the experience. Friendly staff enhance the stay. The amenities in the room felt outdated, with a bathroom lacking a bath and a less-than-fine decor. The breakfast was basic, leaving much to be desired in terms of portion size, particularly for hot items.

Perfect for a romantic escape
The food was really good, especially the 10 course tasting menu. Our room was cozy, comfortable, well appointed, with a bathroom that hit like a luxury spa.
It wasn't inexpensive, but worth every penny.

The location is fine, with beautiful grounds where we spotted deer during breakfast. Daily treats like freshly baked croissants and cake enhanced our experience. While the rooms were well-kept, the amenities felt somewhat basic for those expecting higher luxury. Nonetheless, the friendly staff was nice.

I just spent two nights at Forest Side and loved it. The building oozes charm. Coal fireplaces keep the atmosphere cozy. The staff were friendly and genuinely attentive. My room overlooked beautiful forest views, and I even spotted deer in the morning. Breakfast was included and fantastic. The full English hit the spot! Some minor issues though. Check-out time is too early at 9:30 am. It would be nice to have it at 11 am. Breakfast served from 8:30 to 9:30 am also left little room for a leisurely start. These tweaks would.
